The joint connection tape is a waterproof, vapor-retardant, and crack-bridging sealing membrane. It consists of a polyethylene film laminated on both sides with fleece, ensuring reliable sealing. The tape is glued at transitions from wall to wall or to the floor, as well as on pre-wall installations with liquid membrane. An additional coating with liquid membrane is recommended to optimize the sealing.
The joint connection tape is particularly suitable for areas with moisture stress classes O, A, and C according to the ZDB data sheet. It is aging and alkali resistant, non-rotting, and withstands aqueous solutions of acids, alkalis, and salts. The substrate should be checked for flatness, stability, and residual moisture, and any adhesion-reducing surface components should be removed. A primer or leveling measure may be required.
